Telecom Argentina deployed Telgat technology to supervise
the integrity of its access network: primary pressurized
network, compressors, and distribution cabinets. The implementation
consists of: 23,000 pressure transducers, access control
for 12,000 secondary distribution cabinets, supervision
of 4,000 analogical variables for 380 installed compressors,
198 acquisition nodes, 27 control centers and 10 web servers.
A French Telecommunication Telco recently selected Telgat
technology to supervise its pressurized access network.
Thousands of existing Network elements, from many different
technologies, will be monitored from a centralized data
center. Nearly 400 agents will be involved in the maintenance
of the Outside Plant, at a time when adsl technologies have
increased the availability and performance demands from
cooper networks, thus making quality assurance a critical
business factor.
Benefits of Telgat implementation are:
Optimize procedures maintenance in the Outside/Transmission
Plant environment
Establish preventive maintenance policies
Carry out cross-reference mechanisms that allows for
identification of the source of incidence within a unified
datamodel
Updated information about a company's assets and current
status
Analyze the productivity of the resources involved
in maintenance, and ongoing optimizing of the processes
Supervised network plant elements in real time
Apply business rules to the distribution of alarms
among designated agents. Facilitates agent access to
the data from any point in the corporate network.
